We have a wide choice of volunteer opportunities for those with different interests and abilities. Volunteers really are what keeps Mountin’ Hopes running. Consider joining the Mountin’ Hopes family!
You will need to attend a volunteer training session which are held at various times throughout the year.
Here are some ways you can get involved:
Assist with riding classes and horse care
General responsibilities include:
- Bring in horses from the pasture as needed
- Help our riders to groom and tack their horses
- Assist the instructor during the mounting process
- Lead the horse and rider OR walk beside a mounted rider
- Clean stalls, tack room, & barn area
- Feed and water horses

Volunteer Sidewalker Job Description
Volunteer Horse Leader Job Description
Volunteers interested in the above need to be in generally good health and able to walk for 30 minutes or more during class, as well as, jog for short distances while the horse trots. Volunteers commit to about 90 minutes on the same time and day each week. There is a wide-range of class days/times to choose from.
Work “Behind the Scenes” with administrative and other activities
- Enter computer data
- Assist with mailings
- Make telephone calls
- Recruit volunteers
- Assist with public relations
- Share your graphic design skills
- Share your photography skills
Assist us at our Fund Raising Events
- Help as a volunteer at our annual Fall Fling Endurance Ride
- Help us plan new fund raising events
