Mountin' Hopes is a nonprofit organization which operates exclusively on individual and corporate donations, grants, fundraising events and rider fees. In order to keep fees affordable for our riders and their families, they account for only 30% of our annual budget. We do have limited scholarship help available for those who need assistance.

The funds to cover the operating costs of Mountin' Hopes come from people like you who show interest in our work. We depend largely on regular contributors, many of whom also give their time. Our annual budget is used primarily to care for our 10-14 therapy horses, maintenance of grounds, barns and riding arena, payroll and insurance. In addition our Center is a paying member of NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) which provides education and training programs and establishes safety standards for therapeutic riding.

Mountin' Hopes is a 501 (c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax deductible from the donor's taxable income.

General Donations
These donations are vital in bridging the gap between rider fees and the actual cost of the overall program. They help with the feeding and care of our horses, maintenance of our facility, payroll and other operating expenses. Please contact us if you are interested in making a donation to operations or a gift of appreciated stock.

Corporate Matching
Today many corporations in the United States have matching gift programs where the charitable contributions made by employees, retirees and spouses are equaled by the employer, dollar for dollar. Check with your company or organization to see if they have a matching gift program. You may be able to double your support to Mountin’ Hopes.

United Way
Your company or organization may provide its employees with the opportunity to give directly to United Way through ongoing paycheck deductions. You can then designate Mountin’ Hopes as the beneficiary of your charitable contributions.
