Rebecca Anderson- Program Coordinator

Having grown up on a farm, Rebecca comes to Mountin' Hopes with many years of experience working with horses. She has spent most of her life volunteering with various humanitarian organizations. Her love for horses, as well as, her desire to help others drew her to Mountin' Hopes. Rebecca has always felt the bond between horses and humans and is enjoying her time at Mountin" Hopes as she watches that bond in a therapeutic setting. Rebecca works full time at Mountin' Hopes to coordinate and schedule riders, instructors and volunteers.

Katie Hadden - Program Instructor

Katie started volunteering with therapeutic riding while in college and upon graduation worked as an Administrator at a therapeutic riding center near Charlotte.  Katie is CHA and NARHA Instructor certified.  She is really interested in natural horsemanship and enjoys learning how horses communicate with each other as well as with us.  Katie works full time at Mountin' Hopes to teach classes and manage the horses.

Mary Flora, MBA , MA , LPC, LCAS, NCC

Mary joins the Mountin’ Hopes staff offering over ten years of experience in the therapeutic riding industry.  Mary has served as a volunteer, NARHA Certified Advanced Instructor, NARHA Registered Instructor Evaluator, and most recently as a Mountin’ Hopes Board member the last two years.  Mary also brings experience partnering with Equines to provide mental health and emotional growth programming. 

Mary is an active member of NARHA and EFMHA (Equine Facilitated Mental Health Association).   In 2002, Mary helped co-found a therapeutic riding program North of Atlanta, GA growing ridership from 3 to 35 students in the first year of operation and attaining NARHA Program Accreditation.  Mary’s career the last three years has been focused on providing crisis intervention to adolescents in a therapeutic wilderness program while achieving dual licensure in North Carolina as a Professional Counselor and Clinical Addictions Specialist.

Mary is enthusiastic about this unique opportunity to work on a volunteer basis with the existing Mountin’ Hopes staff and Board of Directors, and assisting in the future growth of the Program.
